Becoming an Orthoptist is simple, you complete a 3 or 4 year undergraduate degree and go straight into the hospital setting as a practitioner. There is also a post-graduate route for those who have completed an undergraduate degree but don’t know what to do afterwards, this option is a 2 year masters and you’re ready to go!
This is an exciting opportunity to complete a vocational course which enables individuals to learn the theory at university and then apply this to clinical practice from year 1 of study. All study routes have integrated clinical placements across the UK and Ireland.
Students from the Republic of Ireland are charged home fees for these courses instead of international fees.
